Anna Bridges plays solo harp. Originally inspired by Breton harpist Alan Stivell as a young girl dancing to records in her parent’s living room, Anna began playing the harp at age 10 and was classically trained on the pedal harp. She now loves to play most traditional Celtic tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Brittany, with some folk/contemporary/classical and original pieces in the mix. She loves her harp, made by Larry Fisher in Winnipeg, and has more recently been inspired in by Irish harpers Grainne Hambly and Michael Rooney and Scottish harpers Catriona McKay and Savourna Stevenson. Having moved to Vancouver 7 years ago from Toronto, Granville Island is one of Anna’s favourite places to be and she is thrilled to share her love of music.
