Kevin Wang plays modern percussive fingerstyle guitar music; extending across a few different genres, pop, jazz, modern classical, etc.
He combines modern techniques developed by Kotaro Oshio with his own twist. There are high paced pieces with a lot of aggressive percussives and slow paced pieces with subtle little percussives. There are also energetic pieces with a lot of low end and calming pieces in a more classical style.
Kevin has studied with various renowned guitarists around Vancouver; audiences with a keen ear might be able to hear their influences. His most significant influence is Kotaro Oshio alongside the likes of Tommy Emmanuel, Depapepe and Sungha Jung.
