Busker Opportunities

  • VMF POP-UP PATIO ARTIST & CURATOR CALL: MUSIC & PERFORMANCE ART

    We are looking to expand our creative and curatorial reach in order to discover talent within the community and feature a broad spectrum of programming. We aim to appeal to diverse audiences and are looking to incorporate a wide variety of performances. Programming will be focused on live performances (drag, comedy, burlesque, dance etc.) and live music. Hybrid showcases are also welcome.

  • FACTOR 101: Info Session for Black Artists | February 17, 2021

    FACTOR will be hosting a virtual information session for Black artists on Wednesday, February 17th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm EST. This session is for Black artists, music industry professionals, and entrepreneurs looking to learn more about FACTOR programs and funding opportunities.

  • Music Canada launches new artist focused survey

    Music Canada has partnered with Abacus Data to get a renewed understanding of how artists’ perspectives continue to be impacted, ten months into the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey will hear directly from artists on the financial implications they are experiencing, how the pandemic is impacting their ability to create music, and how they are building or evolving skill sets to help them get by.

  • FAI One-on-One Networking Meetings with concert presenters, festival directors, agents……

    Back by popular demand are FAI’s One-on-One Networking Meetings, which are short 8-minute one-on-one sessions for registered Folk Unlocked delegates to network with concert presenters, festival directors, agents, managers, labels, distributors, publicists, publishers and other industry professionals.

  • European Federation for Education and Training in Street Arts (EFETSA) online conference

    We are pleased to announce the first European Federation for Education and Training in Street Arts (EFETSA) online conference for practitioners and scholars interested in education in contemporary performing street arts. We are interested in different educational methods and practices and what can be learnt from each other’s practices and approaches. We would like to invite you to the conference to spark discussions on what and how teaching Contemporary Performing Street Arts (CPSA) can improve the artistic level of performance in public space.
