Unfortunately, Busking has been suspended until further notice by Vancouver Coastal Health ‘busking will be considered as an ‘event’ at this time. The main concerns are surrounding the mandatory social distancing limits, maximum guests permitted and the collection of contact tracing information in order to adhere to the Provincial Health Order’ regarding gathering and events Provincial Health Orders.
Please be advised we are unable to confirm the turnaround time on application Applications will be considered on a case by case basis. There won’t be a specified deadline. When Busking can resume, we will return to reviewing Busker applications.
Thank you for your interest in applying. Any applications received between now and April 30 will count as a joint application for 2 busking years; 2020 2021 & 2021 2022.

*If invited to audition (for the Granville Island Busking Program), renew (returning buskers) or register (SEGI & Granville Island Busking Program), applicants must respond to the invite within 7 days. Failure to do so will void the invite and the applicant will need to wait until the next round to re-apply. With this in mind, it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure emails from firstname.lastname@example.org arrive safely in their inbox.
