Julian Neufeld is a Tsawwassen-based singer songwriter whose music is both emotionally impactful and entertaining. Since starting guitar lessons at age 7 he has been improvising soulful melodies on both acoustic and electric. In his performances he sprinkles originals in amongst covers of artists of similar styles. His musical influences include artists such as John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Hozier and Vancouverite Dan Mangan, although movie music was his first love. His baritone voice is warm and expressive, communicating the emotional story of the song. He will often invite the audience to sing along to songs they know well, creating an atmosphere of instant community. Julian frequently plays in coffee shops, markets, concerts and for special events. He especially loves to collaborate with fellow musicians, improvising and creating music in the moment. He is becoming known in the community as a patient and encouraging teacher to aspiring musicians of all ages.
