Sam Chimes is an Afro-Canadian jazzy hip hop music artist. He is an international street performer, producer, and DJ who has ventured around the world twice, supported by his music. With over 1,000 performances and 2,000+ hours of performance time, Sam Chimes is the performer to bring your event to life.
At just nine years old, Chimes started piano lessons which would only last two weeks. It was these two weeks that would affect the rest of his life. In High School he joined various jazz music classes and went on various experiential field trips which undoubtedly affected his musical style.
In 2015, Chimes was accepted into the Vancouver Film School’s “Sound for Visual Media” program. Since graduating, he has worked in a number of feature films and tv series including but not limited to “No Tomorrow”, “Man in the High Castle”, and “Bad Times at the El Royale”.
