The Salt Spring Arts Council is seeking to learn about aspiring, emerging acts in our region (Southern Gulf Islands, Cowichan area, Saanich) as possible openers for our 2020 Summer Outdoor Concert Series, taking place July – August 2020 on Salt Spring Island.
To qualify as an emerging act, the majority of members in your group, or the feature performer, must be between the ages of 18 – 34. Your act is stage-ready and has some history of performing in front of a live audience, in an amplified setting. Your act is in the early stages of launching a career.
We encourage submissions from a range of musical genres, including performers from indigenous, culturally diverse and marginalized communities. We encourage you to fill out the form below early.
